SHORT CONCEPT DESCRIPTION

Across the episodes, we travel from the birth of the first stars and the violent creation of our Solar System, to the conditions for life and the search for it beyond Earth. From there, we venture further,  towards the strange nature of time, black holes, the limits of physics, and ultimately the possible future of the universe.

Each episode has its own central question and journey, while together they form a larger exploration of how the universe became to be and our part in it. But each episode doesn’t necessarily begin with one big question. It can begin from something small. A flash of light. A strange movement. Something that simply doesn’t behave the way our astronaut expects. And that sparks an investigation. What seemed simple begins to reveal something much stranger and more complex.

Through the visor on the helmet, we can move between what we observe, and what we imagine, and make even abstract or invisible phenomena something we can explore visually. Sometimes the investigation leads us to an answer. Other times, it takes us to the very edge of what we know. And that is the storytelling engine of Scope:

We begin with something we think we understand, break it apart - and build it back together with new knowledge and a changed perspective. Because at its core, Scope is about curiosity put to action. Looking closer. Asking questions. Following the evidence. And being willing to change perspective when something doesn’t fit.
